Compare apps

Guest photo sharing apps, compared. Chivent and 8 others, side by side.

They all gather your guests’ photos in one place. Where they differ is whether guests install an app, videos, photo quality, the photo wall, how long the album stays open and the price. We make Chivent, so we’ve kept to what each company publishes about itself.

Checked against each company’s website on 2 November 2026.

What to check before you choose.

  1. 01

    No app for guests

Every extra step, like installing an app or making an account, means some guests won't bother. Browser-based albums ask for neither.

  2. 02

    Photos already on their phones

Camera apps only collect shots taken inside the app. Many of the day's best photos are already in guests' camera rolls.

  3. 03

    Videos and original quality

Some plans compress photos or leave videos out. Check before the day, because you can't get the originals back afterwards.

  4. 04

    Limits and upload windows

Plans can cap uploads at 100 or 500, or close uploads after a day or a month. Late photos often arrive weeks after the event.

  5. 05

    Control over what shows

Approving uploads before they appear, and a password, matter at family events and on a photo wall everyone can see.

  6. 06

    The price you'd really pay

Compare the plan you'd need for your guests and for as long as you want the album, not the lowest starting price.

Every app, side by side.

The rows that separate them most. Each app's own page has the full comparison, and the table scrolls sideways on smaller screens.

Questions, answered.

Which wedding photo sharing app should I choose?

It depends on what matters to you. If you want guests to skip the app and share original-quality photos and videos onto a live photo wall, at one price for any number of guests, we'd pick Chivent; we make it, so check the table. If you'd like a disposable-camera feel, POV and Lense limit shots and reveal them later. If your budget is zero, WedShoots is free, but every guest installs its app.

Do guests need an app to share wedding photos?

Not with Chivent, Guestpix, Kululu, GuestCam, Wedibox or WedUploader: guests scan a QR code and upload in the browser. POV and Lense open as an App Clip on iPhone and in the browser on Android. WedShoots needs its app and a registration.

Which apps keep photos and videos in original quality?

Chivent, Guestpix, GuestCam, WedUploader and Lense say they keep the original files. Kululu compresses photos on its free plan, and Wedibox's help centre says photos over 4 MB are compressed before upload. WedShoots says downloads are full resolution, with videos up to 30 seconds. POV doesn't say.

Is there a free way to collect guests' photos?

Yes, with limits. WedShoots is free if guests install its app. Kululu's free plan takes 100 compressed uploads within 24 hours, Guestpix's and Wedibox's take 50 photos, and POV and Lense are free for up to 10 and 7 guests. Chivent's free trial takes 20 photos and videos for 7 days, no card needed.

How much does a wedding photo sharing app cost?

On the pricing pages we checked, one-time wedding plans run from $39 to $119: WedUploader $39, Kululu $39 or $99, Guestpix $49 to $119, GuestCam $49 or $97, and Wedibox $49 or $79. POV and Lense charge by guest count. Chivent starts at $19, and $49 buys 12 months of unlimited uploads.

How we compared

Chivent makes this page. The facts about other apps come from their own websites, checked on 2 November 2026, and prices are as their pricing pages showed them; each price list says whether tax is included. Plans change, so details may differ by the time you read this. Where a company doesn’t say, the table says “Not stated”. If something here is out of date, tell us at contact@chivent.com and we’ll fix it.
